Measuring Instructions for EZE-Breeze Windows

It is required to have at least 2" between windows. Our Porch Screening Kit uses a true 2" square mainframe making it perfect as a minimum for the lip frame windows.

As indicated in the second drawing below you should start on one side and work your way, typically left to right, around your application, numbering each opening. If you have a top and bottom screen section in that one opening you would label your measurements 1T and 1B respectively (where T=top and B=bottom).

Your windows will be labeled accordingly making it easy for you to match "window to opening." This is important since often times there is only a small difference in size between each window.

Measuring:

For each opening in your existing structure, or in the openings you have built with your porch screening kit, you will need to take 3 measurements along the width (#A, B & C in the graphic on the left) and 3 measurements along the height dimension (#1, 2 & 3 in the graphic on the left). This is required since very little construction is 'actually' square. You will then submit to us the smallest measurement you have for the width and then the smallest measurement you have for the height. You will use the smallest width measurement and smallest height measurement for each unit when ordering. All measurements in inches please!

Your first measurement is the width.

You are measuring what is termed the 'daylight opening" = DLO. Make sure the posts or framing you have in place are finished - including all additional aluminum wrapping or trim. Your (3) width measurements (#A, B, C on the left) are taken from inside face to inside face and working from the top to the bottom as indicated by the arrows. Your measuring tape should be stretched level across the opening. Record the smallest measurement.

Your next measurement is the height.

You are measuring what is termed the 'daylight opening" = DLO. Make sure the posts or framing you have in place are finished - including all additional aluminum wrapping or trim. Your (3) width measurements (#1, 2, 3 on the left) are taken from inside face to inside face and working from the left to the right as indicated by the arrows. Your measuring tape should be stretched level across the opening. Record the smallest measurement.

As mentioned above, if your openings between verticals have more that one section label your submitted measurements as follows...

Section 1.

Window 1T - 36 1/8"  x 40"          Window 1B - 36 1/8" x 24"

T = top | B = bottom | First measurement = width | Second measurement = height

Please Note: Unfortunately, once an order is submitted to the factory, materials are pulled and cut to size in keeping with the overall scope of your project. As such your order cannot be canceled or changed. Be sure of the measurements you have submitted!
